Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting will be held at Tamatekapua Meeting House, Ohinemutu, Rotorua on Saturday 2nd November 2024 at 10.00am.
ELECTION OF TWO TRUSTEES
In accordance with the Trust Order, one Trustee, Monty Morrison, retires by rotation and is not seeking re-election.
Malcolm Short has resigned from the Trust effective 2nd November 2024 and a replacement trustee is sought for his remaining term of 3 years.
If there are more than 2 candidates nominated an election will be held by postal ballot, by poll vote. The highest polling candidate will be elected for the 5 year term replacing Monty Morrison with the second highest polling candidate elected to replace Malcolm Short’s remaining 3 year term.
Persons interested in being nominated for these positions are invited to submit their nomination form to the Returning Officer. The minimum qualifications for nominees for election as per the Trust Deed are:
(a) Seven years experience in Maori Land Governance, administration, law, commerce or management, or
(b) An NZQA approved tertiary qualification in Maori Land administration, business administration, or management.
Please submit with your nomination evidence of the minimum qualification.

The relevant dates are:
- Nominations Open on Monday 26th August 2024
- Nominations Close on Monday 9th September 2024, 4 pm.
- Voting Papers will be mailed to registered Owners Monday 16th September 2024 (if an election is to be held)
- Voting Papers must be returned by 4pm on Friday 25th October 2024 to the Returning Officer.
